Like most issues under the banner of gender inequality, the State of Women Entrepreneurship claims that things are not great, but getting better. You may not feel it on a daily basis as a woman, and it may not be overt, there are obviously forces at work that are preventing women from starting and running their own business if they only make up 4.8% business revenue in the U.S. Like most forms of discrimination, it may not be in your face. It's the quiet way that the bank turns you down for a loan because your a single mother, or the way that distributors charge you more for their services than male customers. It's silent, but heinously effective.

My thoughts:I write about power dynamics in relationships, the empowerment of women, and the ethical and moral dilemmas love can create in our lives. This is a space where I meditate on those themes and share them with the word. Who knows, my next novel may start right here... Archives
